As a dentist, the greatest asset I possess is the mind that is connected to my hands. This allows me to integrate the art and science of this profession in a meaningful way that will help other human beings. If “the latest and greatest technology” needs to be advertised as the primary selling point for a clinician, then perhaps that technology is being used as a proxy for true talent and skill. Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of really cool tools and gizmos. Consider, however, that many of the greatest works of art ever produced (such as the paintings featured above) were done so with little more than a paintbrush, basic wood carving tools, and an imagination. It is the archer, not the arrow that really matters.
